Wondering what I've been up to?

This is my 1972 Triumph Spitfire. Since high school, I've worked on this puppy around the clock (when I have the time).

During the 2023 academic year I led a team of eight engineers and converted the Triumph to an all-electric system. I'm incredibly proud to have had the opportunity to work with such a capable team and have finished the project on schedule and within budget. Meet Project Icarus! This was a two person capstone project for high school. We designed, tested, and built a carbon fiber, autonomous,  'flying wing' style drone. We sent this drone to 100,000 feet with an onboard camera and flight control system. The footage is incredible.

When I moved to California in 2023, I bought a motorcycle (which I love: It's a 2017 Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer).

I designed this PCB so I could 'text-to-start' my motorcycle. In addition, I can set the bike to "sentry mode" and it will text me if anyone moves it.

For this project, I also embedded a micro-RFID device in my hand. I added an RFID reader to this PCB, so I can also start my motorcycle by simply waving my hand over the antenna.

In 2018 I founded Sandbar Speakers; a student run, Rhode Island registered LLC. With a team of five, we made handcrafted Bluetooth speakers in a custom wood housing.

This is my 'Barrel Smoker'. It has a 3D printed gearbox, thermistor, and RPI to adjust propane flow into the whiskey barrel.

Yes, I have two project cars. Is it a problem? Maybe. Meet my 1984 Chevy K20 (Custom Deluxe)

From Feb. '21 to March '22, I worked at Monroe Tractor in Worcester. The Worcester mechanics taught me the importance of doing quality work and taking pride in it.

I'll never forget my first day:

"you ever operated any of this before?"

"nope"

"alright, hop in"

Also, yes I parked that excavator right next to my car.

Pretty awesome.

For 3 months I interned with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center. I worked on a submarine launched unmanned aerial system, in the 'combat systems' department (code 25).

By the end of the internship I was actually able to go on board an active duty submarine to support resupply, testing, and training for these munitions.

Starting in August of '23, I've been working at Joby Aviation. I'm currently an Integrated Flight and Propulsion Control Systems Engineer, largely in testing and verification.

The Joby S4 Aircraft is an incredible piece of technology with state of the art controls, power electronics, and more. It's incredible to watch them fly.

At WPI I was a member of the rowing team for the four years I attended the University. The sport itself is unmatched in its rewarding nature, and the team will forever be a family of mine.

This robot can execute frontier detection, navigate around objects, and explore a map. Once It's done, you can move it and it will autonomously localize its position!
