I founded Sandbar Speakers, a Rhode Island registered, student-led Bluetooth speaker manufacturing L.L.C.

Speakers with a real feel

Our speakers were a hit. They were loud, portable, had a strong battery, and almost no plastic.

These were truly handmade. We cut, stained, and assembled each speaker in our workshop.

Using a CNC machine, we were able to groove the panels, so each speaker would snap together perfectly.

In addition, this allowed us to model the speakers in CAD before purchasing parts and manufacturing.

We had a few interviews, newspapers, magazines, and even ran Instagram ads. In the end, we manufactured nearly fifty of these speakers.

Some of which are still in use today.

After about a year of manufacturing these by hand we decided to shut down. You can still google Sandbar Speakers, though, and you'll find us!
