The naval undersea warfare center

I spent the summer of ‘22 working on submarine based unmanned systems with NUWC, the Naval Undersea Warfare Center. I’m incredibly proud to have worked with the engineers supporting and developing systems for the US Navy.

Due to an NDA and national security policy, I won't attach any photos or information here that can't already be found online.

This is the 'SwitchBlade'

The switchblade is a portable 'loitering munition' with EO/IR cameras, target tracking, and both remote and autonomous capabilities.

And this is the 'Blackwing'

The Blackwing is a submarine launched version of the land-based SwitchBlade. This was the drone program I worked directly on.

During my time at NUWC, I worked in various ways on simulators, hardware, software, documentation, and inventory. This included working with a number of hardware, embedded, and software systems, writing software scripts and documentation, and assisting in a system install on board an active duty US Navy Submarine.
